North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg tipped by Harding University

In Friday's league match, the visiting Harding University Rams basketball team scored a tight 80-78 triumph over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.

In their next game, the Rams meet the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 14. Harding University will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 6-10 record after their 59-47 league win over Polk County (Columbus, NC).

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg moves to 4-12 on the year. The Sabres travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to meet the Screaming Eagle in a non-league match on Saturday, January 14. The Screaming Eagle enter the match with a record of 6-7. Ashley won 55-40 in their recent league match against North Brunswick (Leland, NC)
