The Masconomet Regional Chieftains basketball team (Boxford, MA), dropped 57-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA)

The Sachems now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Danvers for a Northeastern - Small battle on Tuesday, January 17. Saugus will confront a Falcons team coming off a 61-38 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, MA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-6.

The Chieftains (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Marblehead (Marblehead, MA). The Magicians come into the non-league battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Marblehead beat Swampscott (Swampscott, MA), 61-60, in a league battle.
