Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Thomas More holds off Southside
January 13, 2023: Lafayette, LA 70508 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), saw St. Thomas More's basketball squad hold off Southside by a tally of 41-40.
With the victory, St. Thomas More improves its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Iota (Iota, LA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Iota won 69-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Gueydan (Gueydan, LA)
Next up, the Sharks confront the Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Southside will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record.
