January 14, 2023: Monticello, AR 71655 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Watson Chapel Wildcats (Pine Bluff, AR) and the host Monticello Billies (Monticello, AR), saw Watson Chapel's basketball squad overcome Monticello by a tally of 54-45.
With the victory, Watson Chapel improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Star City (Star City, AR) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Star City lost 71-58 in their recent league challenge against Warren (Warren, AR)
Next up, the Billies confront the Crossett Eagles (Crossett, AR) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 82-30 league loss to Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR).
