February 10, 2023: Monticello, AR 71655 In Friday's league outing, the Monticello Billies (Monticello, AR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Crossett Eagles (Crossett, AR), by a count of 73-42.
The Billies (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR). The Comets go into the 4A Region 8 outing with a 13-10 record. In their last outing, Mills University Studies was crushed by Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR), 60-25, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 2-16 record. They play next when they travel to Stuttgart for a 4A Region 8 outing on Tuesday, February 14. Crossett will clash with a Ricebirds squad coming off a 67-51 league loss to Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR). The Ricebirds record now stands at 6-7.
