In Tuesday's league contest, the host Valiant Cross Academy Warriors basketball team scored a close 52-50 triumph over the Hooper Academy Colts.

The Warriors (19-1) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Dale Academy (Greenville, AL). The Eagles go into the AISA AA Region 2 contest with a 3-6 record.

In their next game, the Colts confront the Evangel Christian Academy Lions (Montgomery, AL) in a AISA AA Region 2 contest, on Thursday, January 16. Hooper Academy will attempt to better on its 17-1 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 59-35 league win over Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL).
