January 7, 2025: Lowndesboro, AL 36752 Hooper Academy Colts (Hope Hull, AL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Lowndes Academy Rebels (Lowndesboro, AL), 65-53 in a league match.
With the victory, Hooper Academy advances its record to 16-0 on the year. The Colts travel to Fort Dale Academy (Greenville, AL) to face the Eagles in a AISA AA Region 2 match on Thursday, January 9. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-5. Fort Dale Academy lost 57-27 in their recent league match against Evangel Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL)
The Rebels now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valiant Cross Academy for a AISA AA Region 2 match on Thursday, January 9. Lowndes Academy will face a Warriors squad coming off a 71-59 league win over Evangel Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 16-1.
