South Dakota High School Basketball - Vermillion overwhelms Madison
January 14, 2025: Madison, SD 57042 The Vermillion Tanagers basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Madison Bulldogs to 46 in the Tanagers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tanagers now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Lennox for a A Region 4 game on Thursday, January 16. Vermillion will confront a Orioles team coming off a 63-47 non-league loss to Western Christian (Hull, IA). The Orioles record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Madison falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Flandreau (Flandreau, SD) to confront the Fliers in a A Region 3 game on Friday, January 17. The Fliers go into the game with a record of 4-3. Flandreau won 58-47 in their recent non-league game against Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD)
