Wisconsin High School Basketball - Drummond overwhelms Butternut
January 15, 2024: Butternut, WI 54514 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Drummond Lumberjacks (Drummond, WI) and the host Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI), saw Drummond's basketball squad wallop Butternut by a tally of 57-14.
With the victory, Drummond improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Bayfield (Bayfield, WI) to play the Trollers in a Northern Lights challenge on Friday, January 19. The Trollers come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Bayfield lost 97-42 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Paul Central (St. Paul, MN)
Next up, the Midgets play the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Friday, January 19. Butternut will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Northstars come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 47-39 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, WI).
