Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Greenforest Eagles (Decatur, GA) and the host Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA), saw Greenforest's basketball squad hold off Mount Vernon by a tally of 61-54.

With the victory, Greenforest improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA) to confront the Lions in a A D2 Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Christian Heritage lost 64-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Darlington (Rome, GA)
