Maryland High School Basketball - John Carroll nips Loyola Blakefield
January 15, 2024: Towson, MD 21204 John Carroll Patriots (Bel Air, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), 59-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, John Carroll upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Patriots travel to McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-5. McDonogh won 58-55 in their recent non-league bout against Boys Latin (Baltimore, MD)
Next up, the Dons play the St. Frances Academy Panthers (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A - Red bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Loyola Blakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 100-41 league win over Pallotti (Laurel, MD).
