The Sunlake Seahawks (Land O' Lakes, FL) basketball edged the host Cypress Creek Coyotes (Wesley Chapel, FL), 60-54 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Seahawks now possess a 14-4 record. They play next when they travel to Land O' Lakes for a 6A District 9 bout on Friday, January 17. Sunlake will play a Gators team coming off a 60-34 non-league win over Steinbrenner (Lutz, FL). The Gators record now stands at 8-10.

With the loss, Cypress Creek falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Fivay (Hudson, FL) to play the Falcons in a 5A District 6 bout on Friday, January 17.
