Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH) and the visiting Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH), saw McDonald's basketball squad hold off Springfield by a tally of 57-54.

With the victory, McDonald improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Lowellville (Lowellville, OH) to confront the Rockets in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge on Friday, January 19. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Lowellville won 46-32 in their recent league challenge against Western Reserve (Berlin Center, OH)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Jackson-Milton Bluejays (North Jackson, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge, on Friday, January 19.
