Ohio High School Basketball - Springfield overwhelms Western Reserve
January 23, 2024: Berlin Center, OH 44401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) and the host Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH), saw Springfield's basketball squad wallop Western Reserve by a tally of 58-35.
With the victory, Springfield improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Lowellville (Lowellville, OH) to play the Rockets in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge on Friday, January 26. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Lowellville lost 51-36 in their recent league challenge against Waterloo (Atwater, OH)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Jackson-Milton Bluejays (North Jackson, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge, on Friday, January 26. Western Reserve will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 59-30 league win over McKinley (Sebring, OH).
