North Carolina High School Basketball - First Flight thwarts Northeastern

January 17, 2023: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

The First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), 75-58 in Tuesday's league test.

The Nighthawks (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights go into the 2A/3A Conference 15 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Currituck County went down by Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 71-55, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pasquotank County for a 2A/3A Conference 15 test on Friday, January 20. Northeastern will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 37-26 league loss to Camden County (Camden, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 6-9.
