In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Northeastern Eagles basketball team scored a tight 61-60 triumph over the First Flight Nighthawks.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 17. Northeastern will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Bears enter the match with a 20-4 record after their 67-41 non-league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC).

With the defeat, First Flight moves to 16-9 on the year.
