Illinois High School Basketball - Richmond-Burton overwhelms Marengo
January 17, 2024: Richmond, IL 60071 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL) and the visiting Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), saw Richmond-Burton's basketball squad wallop Marengo by a count of 60-25.
With the victory, Richmond-Burton upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Plano (Plano, IL) to play the Reapers in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Reapers come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Plano won 77-33 in their recent league challenge against Harvard (Harvard, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL) in a Kishwaukee River challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 72-59 league win over Woodstock (Woodstock, IL).
