Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston tops Marengo
November 29, 2023: Marengo, IL 60152 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) and the host Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), saw Genoa-Kingston's basketball squad knock off Marengo by a count of 63-46.
With the victory, Genoa-Kingston upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cogs travel to Oregon (Oregon, IL) to play the Hawks in a Big Northern challenge on Friday, December 1. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Oregon won 74-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 50-35 non-league loss to Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL).
