In Friday's league test, the Manchester Essex Hornets (Manchester, MA) basketball squad trounced the host Amesbury Redhawks (Amesbury, MA), by a score of 84-43.

Next, the Hornets encounter the Triton Regional Vikings (Byfield, MA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 21. Manchester Essex will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 67-40 league loss to Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA).

The Redhawks (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA). The Pioneers come into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Lynnfield bounced Triton Regional (Byfield, MA), 67-40, in a league test.
