Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), 75-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Ashbrook upgrades its record to 14-2 on the year. The Greenwave host Huss (Gastonia, NC) to face the Huskies in a 3A Big South match on Tuesday, January 21. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 10-4. Huss won 74-44 in their recent league match against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC)

The Wildcats now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Point for a 3A Big South match on Tuesday, January 21. North Gaston will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 69-63 league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 9-7.
