Ohio High School Basketball - Grand Valley nudges St. John
January 17, 2025: Orwell, OH 44076 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) and the visiting St. John Fighting Herald (Ashtabula, OH), observed Grand Valley's basketball team edge St. John by a score of 63-62.
The Mustangs (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH). The Skippers come into the Northeastern challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Harding edged St. John (Ashtabula, OH), 72-62, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Fighting Herald encounter the Maplewood Rockets (Cortland, OH) in a Northeastern challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. St. John will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 65-51 league loss to Windham (Windham, OH).
