In Friday's league contest, the host Mt. Hope Huskies basketball team scored a good 61-52 triumph over the Ponaganset Chieftains.

The Huskies (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against West Warwick (West Warwick, RI). The Wizards go into the Division II contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, West Warwick topped Narragansett (Narragansett, RI), 69-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chieftains confront the Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI) in a Division III contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Ponaganset will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record.
