In Monday's league test, the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) basketball squad got by the host Central Falls Warriors (Central Falls, RI), by a score of 62-55.

Next, the Chieftains encounter the North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) in a Division III test, on Thursday, January 9. Ponaganset will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Northmen come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 54-42 league loss to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).

The Warriors (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Hope (Providence, RI). The Blue Wave come into the Division III test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Hope held off Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI), 68-65, in a league test.
