North Carolina High School Basketball - North Brunswick overwhelms Topsail

The North Brunswick Scorpions basketball team scored 88 points and limited the visiting Topsail Pirates to 12 in the Scorpions league triumph on Friday.

The Scorpions now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Laney for a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Tuesday, January 21. North Brunswick will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 75-46 league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Topsail falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Pirates host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to confront the Screaming Eagle in a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Tuesday, January 21. The Screaming Eagle go into the game with a record of 6-10. Ashley lost 64-61 in their recent non-league game against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC)
