The Nichols Vikings basketball team scored 79 points and held the host St. Mary's Lancers to 58 in the Vikings league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vikings now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host The Park School of Buffalo for a Monsignor Martin contest on Friday, January 20. Nichols will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 82-70 league loss to St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, NY). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-6.

The Lancers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Francis (Hamburg, NY). The Red Raiders enter the Monsignor Martin contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, St. Francis triumphed over Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY), 76-45, in a league contest.
