January 18, 2025: Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), 67-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Glenbard West advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to face the Huskies in a West Suburban - Silver match on Tuesday, January 21. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 8-9. Oak Park-River Forest won 78-77 in their recent league match against Proviso West (Hillside, IL)
The Mustangs now own a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hinsdale South for a West Suburban - Gold match on Tuesday, January 21. Downers Grove South will face a Hornets squad coming off a 52-30 non-league loss to Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 4-15.
