The Zuni Thunderbirds basketball squad (Zuni, NM), was crushed 94-56 in Saturday's league battle with the host Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM)

With the victory, Navajo Prep advances its record to 12-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to meet the Bears in a 3A District 1 battle on Wednesday, January 22. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 7-8. Wingate won 72-52 in their recent league battle against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM)
