The Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) basketball crushed the host North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), 81-45 in Wednesday's league test.

The Mustangs (12-0) will now prepare for their test against Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA). The Red Devils go into the non-league test with a 3-10 record.

The Cougars now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Conemaugh Township for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern test on Friday, January 21. North Star will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 59-30 league win over Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA). The Indians record now stands at 9-1.
