South Dakota High School Basketball - Hanson thwarts Canistota
January 19, 2024: Alexandria, SD 57311 The Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD), 58-46 in Friday's non-league test.
The Beavers (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD). The Rebels go into the A Region 5 test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket went down by Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD), 45-35, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ethan for a B Region 3 test on Monday, January 22. Canistota will encounter a Rustlers squad coming off a 51-41 non-league win over Arlington (Arlington, SD). The Rustlers record now stands at 11-1.
