Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge trounces Fort Hill
January 20, 2022: Frostburg, MD 21532 The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) basketball crushed the visiting Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 70-47 in Thursday's league test.
The Miners (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Northern (Accident, MD). The Huskies go into the Appalachian test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Northern was trounced by Allegany (Cumberland, MD), 77-50, in a league test.
The Sentinels now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Keyser for a non-league test on Friday, January 21. Fort Hill will encounter a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 60-46 non-league loss to Moorefield (Moorefield, WV). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 4-6.
