Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Perkiomen School Panthers (Pennsburg, PA), 77-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Academy of the New Church upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to George School (Newtown, PA) to play the Cougars in a Friends Schools bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 15-4. George School lost 72-61 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Peddie Falcons (Hightstown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Perkiomen School will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 76-65 non-league win over Haverford School (Haverford, PA).
