The Independence basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Briar Woods Falcons to 42 in the league triumph on Friday.

The now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potomac Falls for a Potomac contest on Tuesday, January 24. Independence will battle a Panthers team coming off a 64-36 league win over Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-5.

The Falcons (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Potomac contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Stone Bridge was defeated by Riverside (Leesburg, VA), 55-53, in a league contest.
