In Friday's league outing, the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) basketball squad nipped the visiting Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN), by a margin of 68-63.

The Vikings (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Warsaw (Warsaw, IN). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, Warsaw got by Concord (Elkhart, IN), 52-35, in a league outing.

The Indians now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chesterton for a Duneland outing on Friday, January 27. Lake Central will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 61-58 non-league win over Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 9-4.
