New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the win, New Canaan upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Rams host Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT) to play the Tigers in a Fairfield County bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Ridgefield won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Norwalk (Norwalk, CT)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Warde will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 48-35 non-league loss to Stratford (Stratford, CT).
