The Warde Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Darien Blue Wave to 37 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harding for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28.

The Blue Wave (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT). The Hilltoppers enter the Fairfield County contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Bridgeport Central was defeated by McMahon (Norwalk, CT), 50-31, in a league contest.
