January 20, 2024: Brandon, MN 56315 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets (Fergus Falls, MN) and the host Brandon/Evansville Chargers (Brandon, MN), saw Hillcrest Lutheran Academy's basketball squad hold off Brandon/Evansville by a tally of 68-64.
With the victory, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Comets host Hancock (Hancock, MN) to confront the Owls in a A Section 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Hancock won 60-53 in their recent league challenge against Brandon/Evansville (Brandon, MN)
Next up, the Chargers confront the Swanville Bulldogs (Swanville, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Brandon/Evansville will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 80-43 league loss to Browerville (Browerville, MN).
