The Edinburg Bobcats basketball team (Edinburg, TX), was toppled 48-36 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX)

The Sabercats now possess a 24-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo for a 6A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, January 25. Vela will confront a Bears team coming off a 74-35 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Bears record now stands at 10-18.

The Bobcats (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Raiders come into the 6A Region IV District 31 battle with a 13-14 record.
