Bladensburg Mustangs (Bladensburg, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting High Point Eagles (Beltsville, MD), 37-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Bladensburg upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Flowers (Springdale, MD) to play the Jaguars in a Prince George's County 4A bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Flowers won 52-21 in their recent league bout against Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD)

Next up, the Eagles play the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Tuesday, January 23. High Point will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Pumas go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 52-44 league win over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD).
