January 30, 2024: Beltsville, MD 20705 In Tuesday's league outing, the Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host High Point Eagles (Beltsville, MD), by a margin of 38-11.
The Spartans (4-9) will now prepare for their outing against Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD). The Mustangs go into the Prince George's County 4A outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Bladensburg was trounced by Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD), 54-20, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they travel to Parkdale for a Prince George's County 4A outing on Thursday, February 1. High Point will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 55-39 league win over DuVal (Lanham, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 9-5.
