Maryland High School Basketball - Northern knocked off by Great Mills

The Great Mills Hornets basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Northern Patriots to 43 in the Hornets league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lackey for a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, January 24. Great Mills will meet a Chargers team coming off a 54-39 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 5-7.

Next up, the Patriots play the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) in a Southern Maryland bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 32-25 league loss to Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
