January 23, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28052 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) and the host Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), saw Ashbrook's basketball squad hold off Huss by a tally of 72-70.
With the victory, Ashbrook improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Greenwave host South Point (Belmont, NC) to play the Red Raiders in a 3A Big South challenge on Friday, January 26. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. South Point won 83-63 in their recent league challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)
Next up, the Huskies play the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a 3A Big South challenge, on Friday, January 26. Huss will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 3-14 record after their 83-63 league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC).
