Washington High School Basketball - Chiawana holds off Kennewick
January 23, 2024: Pasco, WA 99301 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Chiawana Riverhawks (Pasco, WA) and the visiting Kennewick Lions (Kennewick, WA), saw Chiawana's basketball squad hold off Kennewick by a tally of 66-63.
With the victory, Chiawana improves its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Riverhawks host Richland (Richland, WA) to confront the Bombers in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge on Friday, January 26. The Bombers come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Richland won 91-60 in their recent league challenge against Walla Walla (Walla Walla, WA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Kamiakin Braves (Kennewick, WA) in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge, on Friday, January 26. Kennewick will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 69-63 league win over Southridge (Kennewick, WA).
