Illinois High School Basketball - Farmington holds off Lewistown
January 23, 2024: Lewistown, IL 61542 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) and the host Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL), saw Farmington's basketball squad hold off Lewistown by a tally of 55-53.
With the victory, Farmington improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Farmers host Illini West (Carthage, IL) to confront the Chargers in a Prairieland challenge on Friday, January 26. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. Illini West won 59-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL)
Next up, the Indians confront the Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) in a Prairieland challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Lewistown will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 56-35 non-league win over Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL).
