Mississippi High School Basketball - West Union crushes Smithville
January 23, 2024: Smithville, MS 38870 West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS), 76-32 in a league bout.
With the win, West Union upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to West Lowndes (Columbus, MS) to play the Panthers in a 1A Region 4 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-9. West Lowndes won 68-37 in their recent league bout against Houlka (Houlka, MS)
Next up, the Seminoles play the Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS) in a 1A Region 4 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Smithville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
