Mississippi High School Basketball - West Union thwarts Vardaman
January 31, 2024: Vardaman, MS 38878 The West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) basketball knocked off the host Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), 73-60 in Wednesday's league test.
The Eagles (23-4) will now prepare for their test against Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Itawamba Agricultural went down by Amory (Amory, MS), 47-46, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Potts Camp for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. Vardaman will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 65-63 league loss to Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-11.
