The Sioux Valley Cossacks basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting DeSmet Bulldogs to 42 in the Cossacks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cossacks now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chester for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Sioux Valley will battle a Flyers team coming off a 63-55 non-league loss to Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Flyers record now stands at 4-8.

The Bulldogs (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Colman-Egan (Colman, SD). The C-E Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Colman-Egan ran past Castlewood (Castlewood, SD), 39-37, in a non-league contest.
