The South Point Red Raiders bounced the host North Gaston Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 70-48 in Thursday's league outing.

Next, the Red Raiders clash with the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a 3A Big South outing, on Friday, January 24. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Mountaineers come into the outing with a 9-7 record after their 60-57 league win over Crest (Shelby, NC).

The Wildcats (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the 3A Big South outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, Crest was overwhelmed by Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 60-57, in a league outing.
