Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 96-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Carolina International upgrades its record to 11-13 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cardinals in a 1A Conference 38 bout on Friday, January 27. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Corvian Community won 70-31 in their recent league bout against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 1A Conference 38 bout, on Friday, January 27. Piedmont Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 70-31 league loss to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC).
