In Wednesday's league outing, the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), by a count of 52-51.

The Sauras (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans go into the 1A Northwest outing with a 1-14 record. In their last outing, Alleghany was tipped by Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 37-31, in a league outing.
