The South Stokes Sauras basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Alleghany Trojans to 35 in the Sauras league triumph on Friday.

The Sauras now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Airy for a 1A Northwest contest on Tuesday, January 30. South Stokes will meet a Granite Bears team coming off a 62-12 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 5-10.

The Trojans (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears enter the 1A Northwest contest with a 5-10 record.
